Abstract:
The campaign on Smoking Free Zone of Krabi Province was done between the years 2011 to 2013. While the evaluation was done between April 2012 to September 2013. The surveying, interviewing, observing, conversation and answering questionnaire were done to analyze the effectiveness of the campaign on Smoking Free Zone of Krabi Province. The target groups were person in hospitals, Tam-bon health promoting hospitals, clinics, drug stores, schools, colleges, transport station-bus terminal, the mall, Sub-district Administrative Organization (SAO), food shop, convenient store, petrol station, and miscellaneous. It was found that the Smoking Free Zones were added up from 36.36% to 68.01%. The 80.22% of targeted groups knew the toxic of tobacco. The rate of smoking of people in Krabi Province measured by geographic was lower from 10.91% down to 10.27%. The people in Krabi Province more than 90% act under the regulation on Health Protection for un-smoking people. However the campaign on Smoking Free Zone of Krabi Province was not reach the goal of the assigned Key Performance Indicators. But the operation of the campaign could continuingly insert the massage foe smoking cessation into the daily job of the networking unit, including Ministry of Health, Ministry the Interior, Ministry of Education, Mass media and general private.
